Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. Who we are

Novpix LLC, 131 Continental Dr Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States, provides Tabrein and is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info@novpix.com. This policy covers Tabrein and tabrein.com.

2. How Tabrein is built

Tabrein has two parts that run on your computer: the Chrome extension and the Tabrein MCP server started by your AI app. The server listens only on your computer’s loopback address (127.0.0.1) and accepts connections only from the Tabrein extension.

When an AI app uses Tabrein, the content of the tabs it works in (page structure and text, screenshots, console messages, text typed into forms and files you choose to upload) passes from the extension to the local server and on to that AI app. This content is not sent to Novpix. We cannot see the pages you or your agents visit.

3. Your AI app

The AI app you connect receives the page content it asks for and processes it under its provider’s privacy policy (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor or Microsoft). You choose that app and its settings. Avoid letting agents read pages that contain information you do not want to share with your AI provider.

4. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to sell and license Tabrein:

  • Account data: your name and email address, and your company name and tax ID if you provide them for invoicing.
  • Billing data: your plan, subscription status, payment history, country and the limited card details Stripe shares with us (card brand, last four digits, expiry). Stripe processes the payment itself.
  • Licence checks: when Tabrein activates or periodically checks its licence, it sends the licence key, a random installation ID, the extension and server versions and your operating system type. Our server also sees your IP address and the time of the request.
  • Support: messages and attachments you send us.

5. Data we do not collect

We do not collect browsing history, page content, screenshots, form entries, cookies, passwords, the prompts you give your AI app or its answers. Tabrein contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.

6. Data stored on your device

The extension stores its settings (such as the server port, which tabs are connected and your licence token) in Chrome’s local extension storage on your computer. Removing the extension deletes them.

7. How we use data and our legal bases

  • To provide Tabrein, manage subscriptions, send receipts and service emails, and answer support requests (performance of a contract).
  • To verify licences and prevent fraud and abuse, such as shared keys (legitimate interests).
  • To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent personal data.

8. Chrome Web Store user data

Our use of information received through the Tabrein extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use it only to provide Tabrein’s single purpose, browser automation for the AI apps you connect; we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide Tabrein, to comply with law or as part of a merger or acquisition; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

9. Service providers

  • Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates: reseller and merchant of record for Tabrein subscriptions (payments, tax, invoices and the customer billing portal).
  • Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): hosting of tabrein.com and the licence service.
  • Google LLC (Google Workspace): our email, including licence keys and support messages.

Each provider processes data only on our instructions or, for Stripe, also as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We may disclose data when required by law.

10. International transfers

We are based in the United States and hosts its services in Germany. Where personal data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Retention

Account and billing records are kept for as long as you have an account and then for the period tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 7 years). Licence-check logs are kept for 90 days. Support messages are kept for up to 3 years after the conversation ends.

12. Security

Licence keys are stored hashed for lookup and encrypted at rest, connections use TLS, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to run Tabrein. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Türkiye’s KVKK or the California CCPA), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Email info@novpix.com; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

14. Children

Tabrein is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

15. Changes

We will post updates here with a new date and email subscribers about material changes before they apply.
